The Uplinx® Directory Integration Solution collects phone user information and extension numbers from various sources and produces a telephone directory for Cisco phones.
Connectors allow the inclusion of data from any data source in the enterprise. The data connectors used are proven in the field and support LDAP, CSV files, Exchange (Unity) users and contacts (maintained in Outlook), and ShortDials (translation patterns) from CallManager.

- Proven architecture and implementation
- Extensible to include any data source
- Number translation between internal and direct inward dialing (DID) extensions
- Directory accessible by all users via a Web browser with export to Excel and click-to-dial functionality

Directory Integration Server Architecture
The Uplinx® Directory Integration server architecture is based on a data collector process which runs as a Microsoft service that periodically imports data from various sources into an SQL database. The data connectors can be extended and adapted to integrate any enterprise application.
Cisco phones request the directory information via HTTP from the directory integration server.
